Bowie Trade Days

So, it’s that time again, when my girls and I head over to Bowie to the flea market. It is one of our favorite things to do together and this time Aniyah got to go with us, her very first trip to the flea market.

Image

The weather was a little chilly and it had been raining with storms in the forecast, but we were determined.

Image

Our first stop is always the nursery. We pick out the plants we want, then we leave them there  until we return for them at the end of our day.ImageImage

I ended up with a cherry tree and Andrea got a peach tree and some kind of Japanese Magnolia. Both were beautiful! ImageImage

My goal is to line my fence with fruit trees, so I try to get one or two trees every trip. So far I have two apple, two peach, and now one cherry tree. My big peach tree didn’t make it through the winter season, so next time I will get another peach tree.  Image

We didn’t get gump’s truck this time so we had to leave our little red wagon at home and bring the stroller. Aria didn’t seem to mind too much when she was tired of walking.

 Image

There is always so many fun things to see!  ImageImageImage

Our next stop was our usual Kettle Corn stop.ImageImageImageImage

And now we will pause for a moment for a Kettle Corn break——-  ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

That was so good! Image

Our next stop was the fabric booth and yes that is my weakness, but this place is amazing!  ImageImage

The people that have this booth do speck houses and this is the left over fabric. Solids are $2 a yard and prints or heavy fabric is $3 a yard. I have a house FULL of this fabric and I adore every single piece.

Back on the trail and everything seems to be going pretty smooth . . . ImageImage

until Aria finds a mud puddle. Turns out–Aria AND mammy get in trouble because of the mud puddle.

ImageImage

Well, it’s not actually a puddle, more like thick, sticky, gooey, red mud.  But she had fun and I got some great pictures.

ImageImage

And soon mommy forgot all about the mud incident and we were on the go again.ImageImageImage

There are so many wonderful booths with so many great ideas.  ImageImageImageImage

Then finally the highlight of Aria’s day. ICE CREAM!!! She began asking us from the first second we got there until we finally agreed and she sure did enjoyed it!  ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

A huge part of the attraction for us is definitely the food. It is so wonderful and these sweet ladies were so precious to let me take their picture with Aria. Check them out at:

Lots of fun interesting things and we make a couple of more rounds before heading out to the—

Aria found a saddle that she loved and wanted even though she does not have a horse. I guess she could use it on her goat.

We ended the day with a friend. A ‘dance’ friend that Andrea and Aria knew from ballet. Image

It truly was a wonderful day and we made it as far as my house and my girls had to stay because  the storm hit just as we got home. So they waited it out and Aria got to eat her first piece of hail.

The garden is filled with little garden fairies that are very busy preparing for the garden party.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

The little Gnomes have also joined in the fun.ImageImageImageImage

We call her our 3:16 baby. Born on this day of the Lord two thousand and eight, on the 16th day of March.

Image

ImageImageImageImage

Just hours after her birth, as her mother held her in her arms, her eyes found mine and we each searched deeply. And there was this awakening in my heart. You know that knitting together with threads that are woven so tightly and the Lord is there, right smack dab in the center of the weave, never to be broken or snatched away.  ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

This strand that stretches from her heart to mine is held together by His grace. His magnificent, glorious, amazing grace. A transcendent gift of grace that surpasses anything on this earth.

ImageImageImageImageImage

And who am I that the Lord would lavish upon this me great, extravagant gift?

ImageImageImageImage

Yet, as the years press on, this gift becomes more and more precious to me and how can that be? How can my heart hold any more joy? How could I possibly love her anymore than I did that first instant or that first year or every year after? But here it is, this incredible love that first took seed and was cultivated by the Creator Himself, given by His own Hand.

 ImageImageImage

And I think I finally understand just a little more of His love. The most powerful Love that ever was has given us a glimpse of that love through His gift of life, profusely bestowed upon us through our children and our children’s children. And it has been through this gift that I have learned more of the Gift givers heart. And the love that gushes out of our hearts upon the heads of our children came first from Him. It was from His Father’s heart that first loved us (1 John 4:10) and He said it in His word, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present no things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Romans 8:38-39)

 ImageImageImage

I am so grateful to my Lord for giving me that most precious gift five years ago. I treasure every single second that I am so blessed to share with her. Every smile, every giggle, the laughter, playing dress up and barbies, cooking, sewing and knitting together. And yes, I am also grateful for even the ‘stinky’ moments. She has brought so much joy into my life and my heart is full because of her.

Happy 5th birthday Aria Claire! You are my dream!

The Last Midwife Appointment

And here it is, almost three months later, this precious little miracle of ours, is getting a check up, along with mommy.

Image

Mommy and Aniyah come, one last time, to these who have ministered, coached and cared for them for the past year.ImageImage

ImageImageImage

Aniyah weighs in at 11 lb 2 oz and there are smiles all around. That is over four pounds since her birth!

ImageImage

Aria, as she always does, gets to participate in the exam, both in getting checked herself and getting to help check mommy.

ImageImageImage

And baby sister watches her closelyImageImage

Taking the Blood Pressure is a very important step for Aria, she does not forget from visit to visit what needs to be done.

ImageImageImageImageImage

She gets to help take mommy’s BP too.Image

After mommy gets her tummy checked, Aria gets her’s checked too, and it checked out ok.ImageImage

This midwife experience was new to us and it was a wonderful experience. We have been so blessed by each precious woman that was a part of this journey! We have truly been “hedged behind and before.”ImageImageImage

We will say good-by, for now, but we will be backImage

Knees To The Earth

My beautiful daughter Andrea and her wonderful husband Jason, singing to their Lord Jesus.
Image

One of my favorite songs by Watermark:

Wonderful Savior
My heart belongs to Thee
I will remember always the blood You shed for me
Wonderful Savior
My heart will know Your worth
So I will embrace You always as I walk this earth
Chorus:
Be blessed, be loved, be lifted high
Be treasured here
Be glorified
I owe my life to You my Lord
Here I am….
Beautiful Jesus
How may I bless Your heart?
Knees to the earth I bow down to everything You are
Beautiful Jesus
You are my only worth
So let me embrace You always as I walk this earth

Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.  Colossians 3:23-24
