The Portion of my Inheritance

 There is always that one special person you want to give Christmas cookies to.

 You want them to know they are loved.

 You want them to know that you were thinking about them.

 You want them to know that you pray for them.

 You want them to know how special you think they are.

 So . . . you give very careful attention to make the Christmas cookies extra special.

 You give them that loving touch to make sure they are perfect.

 

 After all . . . . they are for a Very Important Person

                 Second Monday trade days comes to Bowie Texas once a month.

 

You can usually find me and my girls there, pulling a little read wagon around.  

It starts out being a sweet ride for Aria, but as the morning moves on into the afternoon, she is squeezed out and replaced by all our treasures.  

 

We are always on the search for that special treasure with just the right price to claim as our own.

 

 

We love the sights, the smells and the textures of the flea market.  

 

On our return home, we gather all of our treasures together and sit back and watch Aria play.

 

We are proud of our conquest and wonder where on earth are we going to put all this stuff.

 

But it has been a good day and every day is a good day when we spend it together. For that is our real treasure. 

 

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Matthew 6:21

One of the most anticipated highlights of fall is the local pumpkin patch.

It’s opening is eagerly awaited by the young and old alike and is joyously shared with family and friends.

It is very likely that you will see quite a few familiar faces on one of your many trips to the Black Creek Pumpkin Patch.

Fun is had by all!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What makes this place so special?

Is it the petting zoo? 

 

 

Feeding the sheep and the goats?

 

 

Who always remember to say ‘Thank You’.

 

Or is it chasing the chickens? Not really knowing what to do with them when you catch them.

 

Or maybe it’s the hayride? (an all time favorite)

 

 

 

or the train ride?

 

 

 

Maybe, it’s the field of beautiful, deep orange pumpkins?

 

 

Or getting to pick out that one special pumpkin for your very own?

 

 

 

And finding that one perfect pumpkin.

 

 

 

 

 

Or maybe . . . .just maybe . . . . . it’s that special someone you get to share your day with?
