After a week of having a nasty virus, I developed a secondary infection.
Fever, cough, tightness in my chest with still the left overs from the virus. Not good timing since our new grand daughter has only been here on this earth for four days. This is one sad mammy, not being able to be around her or Aria.
Going to the doctor is a last resort, having no insurance and trying to stay away from antibiotics, so I try to rely on herbal medicines.
But, in his eagerness to see his grand babies, gumps forgot my Echinacea. When my daughter called to see how I was feeling I asked her if she had any on hand and she said she would look.
When Martin arrived home a while later he carried with him a whole arsenal of medicines from our daughter.
My Christmas present from her and the family was a set of herbal teas with a container to steep the tea. For the past several days I have been drinking 3-4 cups of the Double-E Immune Booster with raw honey. Super yummy! You can find the tea here:
Raw honey, what can I say? I buy it in a five gallon bucket! I use it everyday.
She sent Echinacea and ALJ, a bronchial and respiratory support herb.
Promethazine is for the cough and chest congestion. And oh yea . . . a very sweet sleep.
This is her beloved thieves oil, an essential oil, consisting of cloves, lemon, cinnamon, rosemary and eucalyptus. The combination works as a antibacterial and antiviral as well as many other things. I rubbed it on my chest and throat, but you can also simmer it on the stove. This really is amazing stuff and it smells wonderful!
On my way to feeling better.
He sent His word and healed them. Psalm 107:20a
