I have used this vintage jumper pattern twice.
The pattern is a size 4, so the first time I made it I cut it down to a size 3.
I used a baby corduroy for the jumper, it presses well and makes great pleats.
I used a cotton blend for the shirt, trimmed with the same corduroy on the sleeves.
This time I needed a size 5, so I had to increase the pattern.
Once again I used a baby corduroy, I just love how the pleats lay with this fabric. It also makes the jumper more for fall and winter.
The jumper buttons up the back.
This is the vintage pattern I used for the blouse.
This time the blouse has gathered sleeves, made in a cotton print and trimmed with the same fabric from the jumper.
I also trimmed the collar with the same fabric.
Aria is always so happy when I make her something.
And it makes it all worth it!
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; They neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Matthew 6:28-29
