It’s a long road. I’ve been here before and it’s all you can do to catch your breath.
The fear hangs thick in the waiting room and you can just about smell it on each and every parent there.
You are totally helpless, all you can do is sit . . . . and wait,
and pray . . . .
and keep busy.
The call finally comes and it’s ok to breath, and they wheel him out and we follow close behind.
They get him settled in his room,
and he’s hooked up to all kinds of contraptions!
And we finally get to look at the results of the surgery. This pectus repair, the reconstruction of a chest that was caved in.
And the heart is crushed when you hear his words, “I was afraid I might die because it was so close to my heart.” Relief filling his eyes and you find yourself whispering your thanks to God.
And there are many grateful hearts this day for one that is so loved. And the joy can not be contained.
Thank you for praying for Sebastian!

Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Is. 65:24
