I have been wanting to make this pattern for a few years now.
It was super easy to sew and I absolutely love how it turned out.
It reminds me of ‘I Love Lucy’ and as you can imagine Aria was happy.
The fabric was some that I have had for years and I felt like it had that vintage look to it.
The trim is vintage itself, I got is at a yard sale many many years ago.
The buttons are also old and are very special to us, they belonged to my husbands mother, we lost her a few years ago. I have her sewing box and whenever I sew for the girls I always try to use her buttons. I never use them on anything I sell.
Included with the pattern were slippers.
This is yet another pattern that I will make again.
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness. Isaiah 61:10a
this robe looks likes like one i used to have. i just love it. also i love the hanging of clothes on the line. thats what im doing right now the wind is blowing hard so they should come out like permanent press.
I can so see you in a robe like this Sharon!!!
Play hanging the clothes is as far as I would go in Texas. It gets so hot and you never know what terrible little critter you will find in the clothes. I do remember hanging the clothes out in Michigan and how amazing they smelled! Good memories!
