A total winner!
I have had an idea swimming around in my head for a long time now and was delighted to find this pattern in the size I needed tucked away with my vintage patterns.
I changed the pattern and will blog about it with a sewing tutorial later on.
I made the dress out of a white cotton knit, covering the bodice with an off-white lace overlay.
Starting at the bottom of the dress I began to sew on layers of vintage lace and tulle, alternating the white and off-white.
I wanted some color, so I added a blue bias around the neck and arms.
I used vintage lace running down the length of the dress and sewed on off-white pearl beads down the bodice.
I topped it off with a vintage beaded necklace.
My beautiful model: Nikyla
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
This dress reminds me of the 1920’s flapper style dresses. It’s so pretty!
Thank you so much Veronica!
The dress and model are beautiful!!! I love the pop of color!
