I received some vintage lace, a gift from a friend, that became a wonderful treasure to me.
So when we were iced in for four days I had the opportunity to make my granddaughter a Christmas dress and the lace was the inspiration.
I used the same pattern that I used for the girl’s Christmas outfits, using the top part of the pattern for a guide in sizing. https://theportionofmyinheritance.com/2014/01/09/christmas-outfits/
The bodice lace was purchased at Joann fabrics and the lining was a recycled knit top. The sash is made out of sequin fabric with a scalloped edge.
This was the last of this beautiful lace and that makes me sad. However, my granddaughter loved her Christmas dress and proudly wore it to our church Christmas party, and that makes it all worth it.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Without a doubt, my favorite creation of yours! Of course, that’s saying a lot since I love every creation of yours!
