It’s been over a week now that I have officially been finished with school, but my schedule says different. These past few days have been wonderful and very therapeutic for me as I have been able to spend some time upstairs in one of my favorite places, my sewing room. It has been months since I have been able to sew and for those of you who know me, even just a little, know what torment that is for me. So I have relished in the moments that I have been able to go through my patterns and fabrics, matching and sorting, cutting out and at last, sewing. My little darlin baby was the first recipient of these joyous efforts.

This outfit is a size 18 months, and it is very true to size.
The polka dot fabric was purchased at my all time favorite quilt store, The Cabbage Rose in Fort Worth. Check them out online.

The contrast fabric and diaper cover fabric was once again a trash to treasure story from my friend who just keeps throwing out perfectly good fabric.
I love the simplicity of this pattern, with just touches of special details. A great summer outfit.
I have already cut out two more of this same pattern, however I am tweaking the front just a bit. Stay tuned.
The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun. You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter. Psalm 74:16-17
