A typical Texas winter, with absolutely no snow! So in guided lesson number three we created our own.
Inspired by pinterest, once again, we begin our journey through layers and color.
The main lesson in this painting was blending, one of my favorite things to do. She was a little nervous about getting the paint too close together, and it took some convincing for her to let it go and mix away. It was hard for her to see at first, but when it started to come together she had fun with it.
While this layer was drying. . . . another painting.
Onto the second layer, painting in the snowman, along with his scarf, buttons and ear muffs.
So . . . . while this layer was drying. . . . a little beading.
The final layer really brought the whole painting together. She used a black paint pen and drew in the face and traced the snowman.
She signed her name and she was done!
This was a fun project and I think it turned out great.
