I love the 1940’s style and get really excited when I can find a pattern from that era. I don’t have many but I treasure the patterns that I have.
This pattern just happened to be the perfect size for Aria. The style of this dress is also perfect for my almost nine year old, who is way past ruffles upon ruffles.
This pattern went together easily and I loved how it turned out.
It buttons up the front and ties in the back, giving it a more fitted look.
The sleeves are gathered with a band at the bottom, and it has a small rounded collar.
The fabric was purchased at Walmart for $3.97 a yard. This dress took about 1 1/2 yards.
