This 1977 Style dress pattern originally was purchased and made for the pioneer (Laura Ingalls Wilder) side of Aria.
But being the classic style that it is, I have now made Aniyah a fall floral dress, stylish enough for 2016.
I love this pattern! It’s simplicity adds to the floral pattern fabric, purchased at Walmart. I also love that you can dress it up with an adorable little apron . . . (maybe next time, for I do have my eye on the longer version of this dress).
The neck line is plain but could also be dressed up with a lace collar, or some ruffles. I chose to leave it simple.
The gathered sleeves are long, and have elastic at the wrist.
It has a zipper closure in the back, which is much easier for me than buttons.
I picked this fabric to match the mustard color leggings that I purchased at Old Navy. These beautiful, bright colors are a perfect choice for my sweet little girl.
Autumn is upon us and Aniyah is ready!
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22
